Project banner: Objects included
The project banner, designed by Anastasia Morozova, incorporates objects from Manchester Museum. The banner itself is a smaller version of a larger collage, shown here below in full. In total, 23 objects are included from Sudan, Palestine, Syria, Iraq, and Iran. The objects were all selected by Anastasia as part of a student internship in summer 2021 to identify objects in the collection that could form part of the Ancient History, Contemporary Belonging project. Here is a list of the objects shown in the full picture, together with links to the Museum’s online catalogue, where you can find more information about them. Please note that ‘provenance’ below refers to findspot rather than acquisition history.
